The holistic approach to beauty: 4 simple tips

For instance, one of the nicest compliments you could pay to somebody is tell them they are very charming, which is something that relates to our beauty but is not just about our external appearance. The reality is that people get attracted to people, not just to a specific appearance.
That’s why the holistic approach to beauty does not just concentrate on the external appearance, but also on the person inside. Of course, this does not mean that anybody is denying the power of high quality make-up, a nice dress and an awesome hairdo – those are things that all work really well and you should always start there. But if you are reading this, you have probably taken care of those aspects of your appearance and are looking to make a difference in another way. And it’s very likely that the idea that developing as a person as whole will actually help you be perceived as more beautiful and attractive by those around you.
So let’s look at the holistic tips for being beautiful:
-
Stay healthy
Let’s start with the most obvious one. If you are healthy, this is going to show in the way you look. If you want to always look your best, you should get enough sleep, exercise often and take care of your health, because we all know that whenever you are tired or sick, you simply can’t look your best.
-
Keep a positive mood
There is nothing more attractive and contagious than positivity and people often underestimate the power of a smile. If you make sure you are happy, it’s going to show and people will be instantly attracted to you. Everybody wants to be in pleasant company and wants to vibe of a positive person. That’s why you should cultivate a positive outlook on life and you will see that whenever you are happy, you will just glow with beauty. Humans can subconsciously detect the mood of the person they are looking at and our brains universally process positivity and happiness as an attractive trait.
-
Show your personality
Don’t be afraid to be yourself. Sometimes beauty is not just about having the perfect features, complexion and physique, but often revolves around being memorable. Notice that the women that are regarded as beauty icons all have something a bit unconventional or memorable about their looks. Good examples are Cindy Crawford’s mole and Angelina Jolie’s lips – in both cases there is a defining feature that helps those ladies separate themselves from the pack. But this is also true about your behavior and the way you dress and the makeup you wear – if you allow yourself to show more of your own personality, you are instantly going to become more interesting and attractive.
-
Work on your smarts
Intelligence is surely attractive when everything else is in place, so working on yourself as a person and making sure you are developing on an intellectual level, will also affect your external appearance. The type of things we think about affect our expressions and the type expressions we tend to make more often make subtle changes to our facial features. It’s very hard to see and pinpoint the difference consciously, but our subconsciousness has a way of detecting those subtle differences and just giving us a feeling of what we’re looking at. Intelligence and intellectual development are something that the people around us feel, so when we make effort to develop spiritually and intellectually, this actually makes us more attractive and interesting and people around us can detect that on a deep level. You can do anything to achive the desired results – you could read more books, you could watch documentaries or you could even get math tuition.
In the end, this holistic approach just tells you that anything you can do to further your development as a person, will also help you look more beautiful in the eyes of others.
