Many individuals struggle with physical pain in their hands. Unfortunately, this can be overwhelming both physically and emotionally. Perhaps you’ve visited doctor after doctor but haven’t been able to find relief for your pain. Fortunately, there are a number of lifestyle changes you can make that will help bring some physical relief for your personal wrist and hand pain.
First off, minimize your typing time. Typing can aggravate pain in your fingers and wrists. Carpal tunnel syndrome is nothing to mess with, so try to take frequent breaks if you have to type a lot at work. If you are a writer, a receptionist, or even a call center employee, typing can’t be completely avoided. Consider setting a timer to remind yourself to take a short break at the end of each hour.
You may also consider opting for some natural pain management techniques. If you wear a magnetic bracelet, you may find that this brings some relief. Additionally, putting a hot or cold compress on your arms and hands may help reduce some of the inflammation and pain.
Finally, reconsider your hobbies. Do you play piano or guitar a lot? This can aggravate finger and wrist pain. Even your arms can be affected with pain if you play instruments on a regular basis. Remember to take your time playing and if you start to feel some pain, you’ll need to take a short break to relax your body.
